Leadership development


Among the hundreds of definitions that can be found in the literature to explain Leadership, the one Make it Simple Consulting® is most aligned with is the thought of Jim Collins: "Beyond the ability to generate vision Leadership begins with the ability of an individual to help People to understand the reality and inspire them to act, to change the situation!"
In order to further develop its understanding of teams' expectations in terms of Leadership, Make it Simple Consulting® carried out a study of more than 100 leaders, belonging to five major functions (R&D, Production, Marketing, Sales and Support Functions) at across more than 10 different countries and on four hierarchical levels.

This study found that people have seven main expectations from Leaders:
• Create a climate of trust and confidence
• Set direction and work on team alignment
• Communicate effectively to generate understanding and engagement
• Create an environment of accountability and performance
• Encourage and drive change
• Decide and empower others to make decisions
• Guide the teams and develop the potential of each

Our conviction is that Leadership Development is accelerated by setting three dimensions: Education, Experience and Exposure to oneself.


This strategy, called the “3 Es” strategy, implements:

• 10%: Education (Training)

• 70%: Experience (practice, workshops, participation in projects) 

• 20%: Exposure to oneself (External coaching, Coaching between peers, Mentoring)


All of our approaches and Development Programs (individual and collective) are based on this approach.


It is today demonstrably clear, thanks to neurosciences and even by the success stories of elite athletes, that we are always more efficient and impactful in our actions when we are :


1) Aware of what we do 

2) Aware of the skills we use to do what we do  

3) Aware of the impact we have on others


Our Programs, both individual and collective, accelerate the development of critical leadership skills to enable Leaders to be able to positively and significantly impact the development and transformation of their Businesses.

We work both individually and collectively, in a dynamic of a Development Program or in an individual coaching approach.

1) Strengthen Interpersonal skills

Develop the awareness and capacity of Leaders to understand themselves and help them understand the impact they have on others.

2) Accelerate the development of Cooperation skills

• Make it Simple Consulting® has developed a specific approach to Agility, based on a methodology, processes and tools that allow the implementation of an Agile business mindset and management.

3) Think of the Development as a curriculum

• Develop the capacities of Leaders through a development path by managing the progression of their skills and generating self-empowerment of their individual development.
